What is brand clarity and why is it important?
Brand Clarity simply is who you & your business are. More clearly it is the components of WHAT, WHY, HOW, & WHO.
It is important as it’s the foundation of your business. Without out strong foundation, your business will be weak, unorganized, & tedious.

The 4 Key Components
WHAT, WHY, HOW, & WHO broken down and why they are important –
Your product/service which is a solution to a problem you solving for your customer/client. This is something valuable you are providing to them in exchange for money or their information.
Is there a demand for this product/service? Do you have competition? If so, that’s good as that identifies there is a need or want for what you have. What differentiates you from your competition?
What is your company’s purpose? What do you believe in? What promise are you making? This sets the culture for both your internal and external company values. If you establish this now, your employees/future employees or teammates, partners, etc. will behave in a way that coincides with your values.
This is also your company’s story which could also be your personal story of how the company came to be.
What is your vision and mission?
Vision: What is the future position of your company
Mission: What are your business objectives to meet the vision
What is your strategy to accomplish your vision and mission? The most successful people have long-term and short-term goals written down and hold themselves accountable. Don’t write them down and forget them. Take action to accomplish them.
Brand identity is color, design, and logo. Create a look & feel that will provide company recognition. The more your audience sees it, the bigger impression it makes and more likely they will remember you. Visibility equals growth.
Your audience. More specifically your ideal client/customer. Think about a game of darts. The objective of the game is to hit the bullseye. Your ideal client/customer is the bullseye. You may capture some outliers, but if you don’t aim for the bullseye you will more than likely miss the target (client/customers) altogether.
Based on all of the above – the what, the why, and the how – what person or group of like-minded people are your serving? Picture them as your best friend and how would you talk to them? What do they like?
You want to build trust and credibility by providing value to your ideal customer and in return you will reap the rewards of a loyal client/customer base.
Whether you’re just starting your business or need to pause and get your foundation built, focus on these 4 key components of brand clarity.
